Siân Bushell Associates has put together a package of accessible courses for employers and small business owners including Succession Planning and Communication in the Family Business (a LANTRA accredited course), Managing Staff Part One looks at, e.g. how to write manuals, business plans, how to develop an induction plan and how to write a job description; Managing Staff Part Two – improve communication skills in giving appraisals, training staff, dealing with staff and running effective operational meetings.

There is also a course for people retiring from business. Retirement is a challenging time for everyone, but if you’ve been self employed, the loss of your role can be particularly hard.  This course looks at alternative occupations, managing your financial situation in retirement and the family dynamics.
